Scope

Design and delivery of a systemic venture building process to identify, validate, and commercialize academic projects based on verified regional business needs.

The Heart's Role

Strategic partner responsible for defining the framework, connecting academia with business, and guiding selected projects from ideation to investment readiness.

  • Define and validate regional business needs via surveys and interviews 
  • Scout and shortlist academic projects with commercial potential 
  • Facilitate workshops to match science with business challenges 
  • Lead the venture building process for selected top 3 projects 
  • Run the Venture Building Academy for students and researchers

The Heart tasks

The Heart designed the venture building framework, conducted market research with local companies, and managed the scouting of academic projects. We guided the top teams through validation and business modeling, and delivered the Venture Building Academy to foster an entrepreneurial culture within the university.
